Today MSDH is reporting an additional 317 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 23 deaths. Six deaths occurred between April 9 and April 11, and 17 deaths occurred between February 3 and April 7, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 307,836, with 7,119 deaths.
MSDH has identified no additional cases in residents of long-term care facilities and no deaths. There are currently 16 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
