MSDH reports 317 new COVID-19 cases, 6 deaths

MSDH is reporting an additional 317 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 6 deaths. Four deaths occurred between March 15 and March 23, and 2 occurred between March 14 and March 15, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 303,942, with 6,987 deaths.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 1 new case in residents of long-term care facilities, and no deaths. There are currently 27 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
