MSDH reports 369 new COVID-19 cases, 27 deaths

Coronavirus update

The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting an additional 369 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 27 deaths. Five deaths occurred between March 11-14, and 22 occurred between January 12 and March 11, identified from death certificate reports. 

Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 301,250, with 6,929 deaths. A death previously reported in Choctaw County was determined not to be COVID-19 related and has been removed.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified one new case in residents of long-term care facilities and one death. There are currently 47 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
