MSDH reports 374 new COVID-19 cases, 21 new deaths

Today MSDH is reporting 374 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 21 new deaths (4 of which occurred between May 26 and June 1, identified from death certificate reports). Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 18,483, with 868 deaths. Currently there are 434 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection.

25 of the new cases reported today were among residents in long-term care facilities, and there are now 107 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).
