MSDH reports 437 new COVID-19 cases, 11 deaths

MSDH is reporting an additional 437 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 11 deaths. Eight deaths occurred between February 27 and March 8, and 3 occurred between February 12 and February 27, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 298,445, with 6,845 deaths.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 8 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities and 5 deaths. There are currently 50 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
