MSDH reports 549 new COVID-19 cases, 31 deaths

MSDH is reporting an additional 549 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 31 deaths. Eleven deaths occurred between February 15 and February 25, and 20 occurred between January 18 and February 20, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 294,091, with 6,669 deaths.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 3 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and 4 deaths. There are currently 70 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
