Today MSDH is reporting an additional 585 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 26 deaths. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 80,695, with 2,399 deaths. Note: One death previously reported in Forrest County has been corrected to Lamar County, and one death previously reported in Hinds County has been corrected to Warren County.
Today's cases included 29 among residents in long-term care facilities and 8 resident deaths. There are now 169 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
