MSDH reports 811 new COVID-19 cases, 27 deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting an additional 811 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 27 deaths.

Three deaths occurred January 29 in Lamar, Rankin and Tate counties.

Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 275,001, with 6,045 deaths.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 33 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and 3 deaths. There are currently 184 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
