Today, MSDH is reporting an additional 894 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 27 deaths (2 of which occurred between July 24 and August 9, identified from death certificates). Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 75,449, with 2,190 deaths.
Today's cases included 41 among residents in long-term care facilities, and 7 resident deaths.There are now 177 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
