MSDH is reporting an additional 911 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 23 deaths. Twenty-one deaths occurred between January 8 and February 10, and two occurred between November 3 and January 14, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 284,664, with 6,390 deaths.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 9 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities and no deaths. There are currently 124 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
