July's Workforce Wednesday Focuses on Students
Parents and Students encouraged to join the July 19th event!
JACKSON, Miss. – Mississippi Public Broadcasting calls on every community member to encourage middle and high school students and their parents to attend the July 19 Workforce Wednesday workshop.
The workshop, “Student Preparedness: Preparing Now for After High School,” will be held July 19, from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The guest speaker is Ramona Williams, executive director of Jobs for Mississippi Graduates (JMG). Williams will share information about JMG’s programs and resources that are focused on preparing students for their next phase, whether it is a new school year, graduation, college, or the workforce.
Registration is required whether you attend virtually or in-person at MPB, located at 3825 Ridgewood Road in Jackson. The session will also be live-streamed via Zoom. Participants receive a Zoom link upon registration.
Workforce Wednesday is an initiative of the MPB Education Department. The hour-long workshop, held every third Wednesday of the month, connects partner agencies and organizations, facilitates open dialogue about workforce development, and provides professional development opportunities to all Mississippians.
