Jackson, Miss. October 30, 2024 - Starting November 1, MPB Television will now air First Nations Experience (FNX), on our sub channel every day from, 4 a.m. to 4 p.m.
FNX is the first and only national broadcast television network in the United States exclusively devoted to Native American and World Indigenous content. Through Native-produced and themed documentaries, dramatic series, nature, cooking, gardening, children's and arts programming, FNX strives to accurately illustrate the lives and cultures of Native people around the world.
“MPB's mission is to serve all of Mississippi, and through this programming we aim to forge meaningful connections between the Choctaw Nation and the diverse tribal and indigenous cultures from around the world,” said Royal Aills, Executive Director of MPB. “We also seek to enrich all communities by showcasing the vibrant cultural experiences of Native American and indigenous peoples.
The best way to access this new content is by tuning in to MPB Television via an “Over-the-Air” (OTA) digital TV. You will need a TV set equipped with an antenna and either a digital tuner, or a digital converter box if you have an older analog television.
A live-stream of FNX is also available on our website. Go to www.mpbonline.org, click on Television, and then click FNX – First Nations Experience.
This exciting and informative content will replace our MPB Classroom TV programs, which they can still be accessed on our MPB Learning YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@mpb_learning).
