JACKSON, Miss. – Third Coast Radio, an indie music show that partners with Mississippi Public Broadcasting, will expand its programming with a two-hour slot, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Saturday, beginning Sept. 3. The show had been airing Saturdays at 11 p.m. Third Coast Radio offers audiences music from independent artists, bands and musicians of all genres from across the nation. The show revolves around conversation about – and music from – artists not often heard on mainstream radio.
“The extended show allows more artists airplay,” said Brad Franklin, the show’s producer and owner of OurGlass Media. “We also have heavy discussions about musical influences, project collaborations and upcoming performances.” Airing the show on MPB Radio gives residents across the state the opportunity to experience new talent, said MPB Director of Radio Jason Klein.
“MPB is proud to partner with Third Coast Radio to bring more local and independent music and culture to our listeners,” Klein said.
