About the Governor's Arts Awards
The 2025 Governor’s Arts Awards will air on MPB on Friday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. Presented by the Mississippi Arts Commission in partnership with the Mississippi Governor’s Office, the awards recognize individuals and organizations who have made noteworthy contributions to or achieved artistic excellence in Mississippi. This year’s recipients include blues musician Eddie Cotton, Jr., journalist Walt Grayson, arts patron Jane C. Hiatt, architect Robert Poore, musical act Rising Stars Fife and Drum Band and filmmaker Tate Taylor.
