The weekend after Labor Day, Strawberry Plains Audubon Center in Holly Spring hosts the Hummingbird Migration Festival, Strawberry Plains Audubon Center’s largest fundraiser of the year attracting nearly 8,000 visitors. The festival showcases the Strawberry Plains Audubon Center’s abundant history and offers each guest a first hand look at one of nature’s most astonishing phenomenon.

Community Animal Rescue and Adoption Inc. (CARA) in Jackson built a park next door to the animal shelter that is especially for our four-legged friends. Bree’s Dog Park offers pup owners space that sometimes is not available in the city where their dogs can get exercise by running around with their new friends.

Corinth has a burger that you cannot find anywhere else: the Slugburger. The town loves it so much that every year, it hosts a festival to honor this deep-fried beef and soy meal burger.

The Slugburger Festival is held during July in Historic Downtown Corinith and features a Slugburger eating competition, Miss Slugburger Festival Pageant, carnival and three nights packed with live music.
