MSDH reports 1,210 new cases of COVID-19, 24 deaths

Today, MSDH is reporting an additional 1,210 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 24 deaths. Twenty-three deaths occurred between January 28 and February 3, and 1 occurred on January 29, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 278,532, with 6,182 deaths.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified five new cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and one death. There are currently 145 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
