MSDH reports 684 new COVID-19 cases, 23 deaths

MSDH is reporting an additional 684 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 23 deaths. Six deaths occurred between February 11 and February 15, and 17 occurred between December 12 and February 15, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 289,398, with 6,524 deaths.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 5 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and no deaths. There are currently 112 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
