MSDH reports 784 new COVID-19 cases, 25 deaths

Today MSDH is reporting an additional 784 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 25 deaths. Ten deaths occurred between February 4 and February 8, and 15 occurred between January 15 and February 3, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 283,753, with 6,367 deaths. NOTE: A death previously reported in Union County has been corrected to Tippah County.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 18 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities and 3 deaths. There are currently 125 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
