Bobby Wicker joined Mississippi Public Broadcasting in November of 2022 as the Human Resources Director.

 Bobby has over 25 years of public and private sector Human Resource experience.  He began his state service as a Human Resources professional with the Mississippi Department of Health.  From there he transitioned to the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality and then in 2007, Bobby promoted into the role of Human Resources Director for the Mississippi State Fire Academy.  In 2014 he took on a Human Resource management role with the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services, where he served until joining the team at MPB.

 Bobby is a native Mississippian, originally from Natchez and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Mississippi College.  He has served as a career long member of the Mississippi Association of Personnel Administrators, where he has served in several capacities, such as Chairman of the Board of Directors, as a board member and as Committee Chair for the nominations and elections committees.  He is also a member of the International Public Management Association for Human Resources and the Capitol Area Human Resources Association.
