Mike Chaney is the state Insurance Commissioner. Not a medical job, per se, but it does place him in charge of the mechanisms by which many Mississippians access the medical system. Chaney says issues related to healthcare are a key part of his office's work-- especially since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recently, he tells us he's been keeping an eye on Mississippi Senate bill 2738-- which, if signed into law, would mandate that insurance providers cover telehealth services for Mississippians.
