MSDH reports 1,017 new COVID-19 cases, 14 deaths

Today MSDH is reporting an additional 1,017 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 14 deaths. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 41,846, with 1,346 deaths.

20 of the new cases reported today were among residents in long-term care facilities, along with 5 deaths. Active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities have increased again, to 142 statewide (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).
