Today MSDH is reporting 1,230 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 18 deaths. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 39,797, with 1,308 deaths.
55 of the new cases reported today were among residents in long-term care facilities, along with 12 deaths. There are currently 130 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).
Currently, there are 855 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection, and 262 more with suspected COVID-19.
