MSDH reports 1,322 new cases of COVID-19, 12 deaths

Today, MSDH is reporting an additional 1,322 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 12 deaths. Eleven deaths occurred between October 3 and October 14, and one occurred August 23, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 108,139, with 3,152 deaths.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 19 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and four deaths. There are currently 128 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
