Today MSDH is reporting 402 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 16 new deaths (three of which were from May 5 - May 12, identified from death certificate reports). Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 12,624 , with 596 deaths.
37 of the new cases reported today were among residents in long-term care facilities, and there are now 102 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).
