JACKSON, Miss. – Beans, an hour-long musical comedy from 1980 that chronicles the history of human beans, is the October 2021 MPB Classics release.
From the dawn of time to the modern era, beans have had to overcome adversity and learn how to celebrate each other’s differences. The show was written by Buddy Sheffield and David Sheffield (who would go on to write for In Living Color and Saturday Night Live, respectively) and directed by Buddy Sheffield and Rita Sheffield (who created the sketch comedy series Roundhouse for Nickelodeon).
