Cortez Bryant never planned on going into the music industry, but when his best friend needed a manager he started a journey that would lead him to some of the biggest names in music. After working with his childhood friend, the legendary Lil Wayne, Cortez managed then-budding superstar Drake and later went on to broker major deals between iconic brands and the music industry's biggest artist. Now he is back at his "dear old college home" of Jackson State University to teach a course on music careers. Joining Third Coast Radio to talk about the course and his vision for an entire entertainment-related curriculum at JSU, Cortez shows that true success is about reaching back and building up.
