After bringing flooding, widespread power outages, and sporadic tornadoes to southern Mississippi, what is left of a once-Category 4 storm is passing through the Magnolia State.

The center of Hurricane Ida crossed into Port Fourchon, LA as a Category 4 storm late Sunday morning with winds as high as 150 mph - 16 years to the day after Hurricane Katrina.  Ida continued to present hurricane force gusts to parts of the Pine Belt and southwest Mississippi into early hours of Monday.  The storm is expected to move out of the state by Tuesday.

Over 100 thousand Mississippi residents are without power.
