The initial Republican primary in Mississippi's deep-red fourth Congressional district split amongst several candidates. Incumbent Representative Steven Palazzo faired best, earning thirty-two percent of the vote. Jackson County sheriff Mike Ezell came in second with a twenty-five percent vote share.
Now, the two are headed to a June 28th run-off. Mr. Ezell tells Mississippi Edition producer Rob Lane he's confident he's the best man for the job.
