MSDH is reporting an additional 183 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 18 deaths. Six deaths occurred between March 30 and April 4, and 12 occurred between December 24, 2020, and March 29, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 306,341, with 7,073 deaths.
MSDH has identified no additional COVID-19 cases in residents of long-term care facilities and no new deaths. There are currently 17 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
