MSDH reports 731 new COVID-19 cases, 25 deaths

MSDH is reporting an additional 731 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 25 deaths. Twelve deaths occurred between February 22 and February 24, and 13 occurred between December 28 and February 17, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 293,542, with 6,638 deaths.

Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 9 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities and 1 death. There are currently 76 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
