Today, MSDH is reporting an additional 737 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 4 deaths (one of which occurred on August 14, identified from a Tennessee death certificate report). Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 95,310, with 2,874 deaths.
Included in these totals are 40 new cases identified among residents in long-term care facilities, and 2 deaths. There are now 129 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
