MPB to Premiere “Southern Dish” at State Capitol 

JACKSON, Miss. – Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) is proud to present the premiere of its newest original series, “Southern Dish,” a celebration of Mississippi’s rich culinary heritage and the talented chefs who bring it to life. Media representatives are invited to this exclusive premiere event on Monday, March 17, at 5 p.m. (or subject to Legislative Gavel) in the Old Supreme Court Chamber – Room 216 of the Mississippi State Capitol. 

 

From historic Delta eateries serving up authentic Southern cuisine to award-winning chefs crafting gourmet masterpieces along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, “Southern Dish” will take viewers on a journey through the state’s most iconic kitchens. The show explores not only the food but also the personal stories of the chefs, their families, and the deep-rooted traditions that make Mississippi’s culinary scene one of the best in the nation. 

 

The premiere episode highlights renowned chefs from Jackson and Greenwood, giving viewers a taste of the flavors and personalities that define Mississippi cooking. This new weekly series will air statewide on MPB.
